The approach
For small businesses
Big brands have departments for this. The restaurant on the corner, the shop on King, the reno crew between jobs, the farm that also bottled something this year u2014 you get whoever has time after supper.Thatu2019s the gap I like.Good photographs. Video that doesnu2019t look like a hostage reading a script. Graphics that hold together. Social that shows up even when youu2019re slammed. Not to make you look like a chain. To make you look like yourselves, on purpose, so the chains donu2019t get the whole conversation. If youu2019re a small business in Peterborough, Millbrook, or the Kawartha Lakes and your marketing has been a bit of a shrug, thatu2019s a normal place to begin.
For individuals
The other half of the work is quieter. Families. Milestones. The photograph in the drawer that got bent, faded, or left out in a flood. Sometimes itu2019s a shoot for keeping memories. I like that job more than is probably professional to admit.
